Why not making the track with "fuk it all" emotion? Your old tracks were good as they were, I don't think nightcoring or anyhow altering them would be a good idea. Your music was always well-composed, with a definite idea and feeling. Maybe you've just squezzed everything from yourself into it? Probably having a break isn't that bad, and it's not the end but just giving yourself a rest? I'm sure you'll catch an inspiration soon enough. Just neglect this low-self-esteem mood. You are cool musician. A great one.

Haha, back here are we?
That's supposed to be a friendly approachable laugh, btw :)

You've been here before, as I'm sure we both know. It reminds me of body dysmorphia, except it's about the quality of your work. Those tracks you referred to were really good, you know. You seem to just lack the ability to see it that way!

Have you noticed how every time you make a new NG account, it gets hundreds of fans? There's a reason for that. Your music is good, and it makes people want to hear more. Now, I know I can't magically fix the lack of low self-esteem. But I hope just hearing the facts will allow you think think a bit more rationally. By any objective measurement, your music is loved by many.

Perhaps it's a constant longing for freater opportunities and recognition that makes you feel this way. The truth is, that's difficult to achieve today, with so much competition. One needs to not only make great music, but be marketable and a businessperson, and all that. But insteead, you create fantastic stuff that's enjoyed by much of any community you post in. And more often than not, you compose your music around your feelings and beliefs. That's worth quite something too.

As for what direction, only you will know when you sit down and manage to compose again.
Hey! After a week, my schedule will be way lighter. At that point we should start chatting more often on discord again! Maybe that'll help a bit :D

With people like Phono and SoundChris respecting the quality of your work, you know it's good. So don't give up on it that easily, ok ;)?

I agree with LSD :)

I also hope we can talk again soon!

Keep in mind that this is not a popularity race. Do what you love to do and keep at it, doesn't matter how long it takes just keep doing what you do. But what you do is up to you, your music is great and has made in a few of my projects. :)
Until Then

I wouldn't say you didn't "make it". You have made probably as far as possible regarding newgrounds "fame". All of alt accounts combined would have as much followers as step or as chronamut
Btw, who are your best friends? I don't seem to have made it.

It is ok to quit anyway, I put music production on hold multiple times including and not limited to the following reason:
-to become a dating pickup master
-to focus on university
-to focus on traveling
-to focus on work
-to focus on getting better at programming
-to focus on taking drugs
-to unconciously watch useless twitch streamers and youtube vids

And i turned out just fine...

You could get much more following if you come out with a marketing campaign like Donald Trump.. But I know you are the last person to turn to marketing yourself on socialist media :D soo idc

btw, post the nightcore tracks, nao

All you need to know is this:

While music is about being famous for some, it doesn't have to be. That's NOT the point.
You and I create music because we love doing it. Not to get famous.
I can tell you're getting a little bit bored with music, and that happened to me for the first time recently, and I know, it's hard to get through.
Some people take a crazy long time to get famous and make incredible music. Take Daft Punk for an example. They've been making music for nearly 30 years now, and they're just now popping up in the mainstream. So don't worry, keep going.
And even if you don't get famous, still push on because you worked so hard and you obviously love it enough to work that hard and there's no point in giving up at this point.
I agree with @RemileOduen that your tracks have always had an intended idea imposed on them, and they always get me thinking.
(Sad thing is, nobody seems to want to think anymore, just watch pointless let's plays and eat stuff, amiright?)
Next, I'll agree with @LucidShadowDreamer on the fact that your songs are good, you just don't see them like that. You think your songs are bad, but they're well made and thoughtful. Not many people are able to make music like that anymore.

There's no easy way to get through this. Sadly, it's true. It happens to everyone.
Push through.

And don't worry, I hate the emoticons as well ;)
