Racism has never been okay. It's high time that all forms of discrimination and oppression come to an end. What we need in the world is unity, solidarity, and the kind of peace that can only exist in the wake of such a revolution.
This kind of change may never truly come, and that knowledge fills me with unspeakable grief and rage. Must the rift be so complete that we are already past the point of no return? I want so much to believe in our potential to not only accept, but to love one another. And yet fear consistently gets in the way. Are we not all brothers and sisters, despite our superficial differences? We could really get things done if we all work together and stop tearing each other apart.
Black Lives Matter. They always have, and they always will.

Thank you so much for spreading the message and plugging the song. The distasteful feedback that seemed divulged from just seeing something titled 'Black Lives Matter' on this site is proof enough of how much this message should at least be a constant reminder here. I suggest any user here search BLM on this site and see A) what doesn't appear, B) the content that does appear, and C) the scores of said content. It's not a joke anymore. We can do better. Let's celebrate the contributions and inclusions of Black lives. There's nothing to get triggered over because imagine how long generations of PoC lives have been triggered. Start working towards an optimistic future for them, and by incidence for us all.
