Newspaper and cardboard make for good insulation as well. Also add if you have camping gear like a tent, sleeping bag, portable cooker or what have you; make use of that as well. Coal/wood grills can be used to cook hot meals and even boil water (boiled water can warm the temporary area outside the main so that you can get out of the safe room for a bit and it puts moisture in the air).
If you're having difficulty warming up, try doing some jumping jacks or walking in place for a bit. Throw pillows and furniture cushions can be used to help insulate the you're housed up in if not in use already.
