Told y'all Peter gonna win. Well deserved place too.

Great work man. This is awesome.

EvilRaccoon responds:

lol! You did call it! You did extremely well with 'After Humanity' too! Number 4 with over 30 contestants! I'll hit you up with a review on your track.

You never know, we may meet in the NGADM, or Chips3 in the future! ;)
<3

Wow I'm glad that list of free kontakt libs from Peter's thread does justice, that free instruments don't mean bad music. Excellent track, well deserved first place. Awesome work. :)

EctiBot responds:

Kudos to you and Peter. Used to think it was impossible to make orchestral music without spending 1000s of dollars before that thread came along.
Really glad you enjoyed it :D.

This comes off epic wonder make by Audiomachine or Daniel James. But it's an amazing track on its own. The sheer power of this track is massive. I think you have handled the mix and overall production very well. Especially the mix with Majestica. It doesn't sound as flat as it comes. I do like the massive and vast instruments mix in general. This is trailer level's work, mate. You are there ;).

I believe your production skill plus your composition skill, have improved very greatly. Proper uses of dynamic and expression for the instruments, just like professional composers. It's extremely eargasm when listening with headsets. I love the massive sound of it. Percussion is huuuuuggge. Listen to the hits and smashes of them!

Thank you for organizing this big collaboration on the album. The most impressive thing is you gathered many great composers together, being one yourself. This is the spirit of Newgrounds. Collaboration happens here. And I read all your chats, :D you guys had so much fun together. Thank you very much sir. Take care!

ForgottenDawn responds:

Thank you for your kind words, I'm very glad you enjoyed this, as well as being our pleasure for pulling something like that :) I've been wanting to make this track a turning point for me when it comes to production music and orchestral tracks in general. I personally half-failed/succeeded, in that there's still a lot I need to learn, especially when it comes to mastering. But in due time, I'm sure I'll overcome those hurdles. Thank you for being an inspiration for this <3

Holy shit half a day and no review! That arp tho. I'm sorry that my original tracks weren't as rad as this one, cos your piece is GODDAMNLY BLOWING AMAZING. And here comes that tempo trick again. You took a beetle and turn it INTO A DRAGON. 2 beetles... I think you sir have done a crazily unique track. I'm super duper impressed!

And those progressions :O. HOW? I admit this is gonna be something totally out of my league. Master. Fucking master!!! :O It keeps getting better at every listen. You guys really blow my mind up to space. Each of you comes up with absolute unique and solid work that could rival each other, if ever entered a contest.

This is just... wow. So mind blowing. You are amazing. In person and in production. Thank you for everything. This is... man I ran out of words to describe... :O Thank you for believing my me, and supporting me and everyone else all these times.

Phonometrologist responds:

That arp is you. I found that midi section, and just exploited it by adding a different instrument and changing notes to fit the harmony. You pretty much created the original melodies, and I merely added the harmonies. Perhaps, you can create more interesting melodies than I, and with how much I like harmonies, we can combine our strengths to create something more interesting. The melodies you created dictated what chords could initially fit, and I just continued the thought process.

:O it's a shame this couldn't make it on the album. I wasn't expecting a hybrid track from reading the title. Sorry for the late review, trying to catch up every submission! Those percussion beats! This is an amazing piece, while short, it has everything an epic track would. And it's gonna go down as one of your best piece, backwardecho!

I could not thank you enough for the logistics and organizing you have done to move and gather all these awesome musicians together. And you yourself created this mind blowing piece, I would love to have this included in there. It's rich and deep on its own too.

Thank you very much for everything you have done for the friends on NG and me. Thank you for believing in me, this lump of loser that thought the sky would be forever dark. And you, and many other proved me wrong, and proved that things aren't bleak at all. You are awesome!

I hope your father doing well. And I hope you are doing well, miss. :) Take care, my friend.

backwardecho responds:

Thank you for your kind words! This song wouldn't have been ready for the album, I'd desired greater things for it so the end result of missed potential is painfully obvious to me. :3

Everyone committed to this project was eager to compose in your behalf, it takes someone special to move others that way, certainly not a loser (unless you're talking about parallel universe you :P)

I wish I had good news concerning my dad. While holding onto what hope I can, recent events have forced me to realize that I'm probably going to lose him. Still, I know I'm certainly not the only one suffering in this world, and that is one of the thoughts that helps keep me mostly grounded.

I'm really glad your situation has improved, though I worry for your health. I hope things get better for you, so please continue to take care of yourself! :) <3

First word: Holyfuck! This is amazingly amazing! The production quality of this is top notch. That choir is so creative! Kwaya right? And you have used it the way it should! The piece began with spiritual motifs and progression. Then it drove into something totally unexpected. I love the that mallets in the background. Interesting you used string col legno/bartok for this haha. Great ideas.

The flow of the whole piece is extremely energetic and solid. Yet it still keeps everything else, especially the mood steady and not overwhelmed. You always have awesome ideas for creative melodies and harmonies, one of many things that I admire and respect about you and your production. You just get everything right where they feel like!

Thank you for believing in me, and moreover believing in the community of Newgrounds. I'll be probably bored many people out, but I can't say enough that NG is the place destined for harbor amazing people coming together from all corners of this blue planet. And that's something money can't buy. Thank you for this piece!! Take care! Hope to talk to you soon!

Wow this is something else, so emotional... *look at the length* Mother of FSM... Over an hour of pure awesome music. I'm gonna listen to this while making fractals, for sure. :O. Opposed to Soundchris' minimal piece, this is the macro take on it. The piano plays are so full of feeling and I could feel the train of thoughts flow through every note of this piece. I don't know what to say more. This is something out of a dream. It's just perfect and deep. When I read the convo between you and Phono (sorry i tried to catch up all the 3-4 months of convos and inside jokes you guys made) about the part from mid-to-end, he talked about that moving and well-connected parts. And he was so right like always, they are the best ever!

This is just something I love about NG. This place enables and provides the best of the best musicians, animators, artists and talents of all kinds coming together to make things happen. Without NG, in my own opinion, magnanimous works like this would be very difficult to happen. And here we are, with many of the best musicians working together on a collab project. I'm sorry, I'm just overwhelmed by you all, your wonderful works and the love for each other that I have not seen elsewhere. It just happens. That's the beautiful thing about Newgrounds. (bless you Tom Fulp) And I believe this piece sums everything up so well.

Thank you.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Hey there, dem0!
While this is 2 hours in length, it's not my longest session by the piano. That said, I've never recorded this much at once before! It was really fun and rewarding, so I'm really happy we got together on the project, which motivated me to finally record a 2 hour improv. The most difficult part, I suppose, is to keep the focus, and try to vary the playing so that it doesn't just become the same thing for the whole 2 hours. That said, there are a lot of pretty bad parts, some filled with errors that are easily audible.
On that note, I think SoundChris's track is far prettier (also, just because it's composed in a beautiful manner, with a lot of thought put into it). What I wanted to serve, instead, was something more direct and real. I haven't touched a single note; they are all exactly like I played them at the time, so I hope this improvisation stays true to how the music was channeled through me at the time of playing.
I'm really excited to hear you'll listen to it while making fractals! Partly because I am looking forward to seeing those once you've made them ;)
After all, I used your fractal "memory", for the cd image :D

As you know, I am most inclined to agree with you about Newgrounds being a fantastic place, to the point where words may not be enough to describe it. It feels great to be part of such a creative and driven community. Tom did indeed create something absolutely marvelous.

This improvisation, is obviously dedicated to you. The title too, takes into account your vision of the world, society, music, people, and thoughts. I hope you're pleased with the result ^___^
Thank you for listening, reviewing, and staying true to who you are!
And donating, dude. Holy shit! I hope you're doing well o.O

Take care!
