Disco Elysium is IMO, the greatest video game in history. The OST has captured the game so well, not only the plot, but the deep political and existential meanings behind it. DE is possibly the most hopeful work of art I have ever experienced.
And this is the work of imagination.
We live in a collapsing society where imagination is starved off, boxed and sold back to you as a product. I have always understand this reality, and wanted to express this creativity for them to remain free, why all my music, is forever, free.
Imagination is hope, and hope is resilience. Give the second video a watch if you have time! In solidarity to all the people struggling with life. Have hope, care for each other, and live free.

Instead of posting my album I'm gonna use the frontpage post to promote people I care :)
Are you fancying some glitch music and art? @Wilieu have you covered with the some of most creative glitch music ever. Their work is what got me back to glitch hop and stuff. These the top-tier glitch music you won't find elsewhere. Their art is no less fascinating and intriguing. Please check out Wilieu :)
Of course I gotta stan for @Phonometrologist because this person is inspiring and waaay more mature than me in music production. Their latest famous words "The opinion of an artist on an artist cannot be relied upon" makes sense but I would still stan Phono because they are the reason I keep doing music. I promise you won't find the kind of music Phono made elsewhere but NG.
Let's meet @Holokin, their music is so joyous and very funky, yet short and enjoyable. The way they arranged and composed their work is very interesting, like so nostalgic. I wish their work could have been a lot longer but I often keep them on loop for the sake of feelin'. Please check out Holokin's work, thanks.
Buuut they are so popular, doesn't matter because @Everratic makes the type of cinematic music you won't find elsewhere. And they are a community person that caring and very helpful. Their work is always so elegant and intimate. Like many other musicians on NG, especially those in this post, Everratic is a self-taught composer who do great stuff.
Dtr. Guo, or @offi-DtrGuo-cial, interesting name, even more interesting and awesome music. I really regret that I didn't check out their music more often. The amount of creativity is... holyfuck... A little overcompressed but they're on purpose and that's why Dtr. Guo music is so special. Check them out and turn down the vol tho. :)

This track is dedicated to Daunte Wright, Anthony Thompson Jr., Adam Toledo, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Christian Hall, Daniel Shaver and all victims of police violence. Solidarity to all, and Rest in Power to the fallen.
I started writing this track around the time Daunte Wright was murdered by police, and it was finished today. It was an emotional roller-coaster writing this track. I recently learned that George Floyd's girlfriend was Daunte Wright's high school teacher.
I combined Chicano guitar's playing style, chopped and screwed for the woodwinds and hiphop beats. Each of the techniques symbolize the culture of the victims. I was gonna talk about the instrument like on Bandcamp, but I will talk exclusively about the production on Newgrounds, my home.
This track is a breakthrough for me. Not just arrangement and composition, but also mixing and sound design. In so many previous attempts, I failed in mixing tracks with lots of reverb. Like lots and lots. But I also learned that reverb is about space, not density. So the trick to balance the reverb is to have many melodic instruments playing at the same time. I have been never ending experiencing with this since I first learned to write music.
I want the listener to feel for the the victims of police violence. I feel powerless that I couldn't do more to help them. I tried my best. I have superpower in other selves, but in this self I am just a composer.
The production took exactly one week.

SOLARPUNK is everything from a positive imagining of our collective futures to actually creating it: aesthetics, afrofuturism, art, cooperatives, DIY, ecological restoration, engineering, fiction, futurism, gardening, geodesic domes, green architecture, green design, green energy, ingenuous indigenous practices, intentional community, maker spaces, materials science, music, permaculture, repair cafes, solar, solar power, sustainability, tree planting, urban planning, volunteering, 3D printing. (r/solarpunk)
WHY THIS EP: For the longest time I was a collapsnik and I buried my head under the sand, waited for the world to end. But I realized that's not how I want to live, it shouldn't be this way. So I seek out for optimistic ideas and that's how I came across, solarpunk. I realized that there are so many young people like me who were born in the hell, but they refused to give up and give in. They kept their heads up and envision a better future not just for themselves but everyone and every living species on this planet.
My last album, RESILIENCE, was to explore and experiment with this idea. But I also realized that being resilient is just an idea of trying to survive the collapse. SOLARPUNK is about building the world without collapse. And it filled me with life, imagination and creativity once again.
Also, I was hoping to release this as an album for Black History Month (annual February), but I do not want to rush the quality of the production, so I rather worked my best on four tracks for an EP, instead of a full album. Beside, every month should be about Black History.
And that's another philosophy of this album, that Black Music should be about innovation and invention, not just the aesthetics. I find that a lot of composers when they want to make Black Music, they would use instruments like djembe, marimba or African chant, without ever touching the fact that Black Music is much much deeper than just those aesthetics. Black Music is the reason for the existence of all modern genres. The reality of Black Music is about never-ending innovative production techniques and ideas, and not about stereotypical music it often represented in media from non-BIPOC musicians.
Which is why I decide to work outside-the-box for the composition and production that utilized and implemented a lot of amazing Black production techniques such as: chopped-and-screwed, funk & rock guitar playing styles, hiphop sampling techniques, reggae & hiphop inspired beat patterns, and I also used jazz & blues music theories in these track. A lot of these sounds are also DIY, to give respect to the spirit of Black Musicians who are mostly self-taught and self-reliant.
For the longest time, I ranaway from myself, from who I really am. I'm a POC refugee who was nurtured by Black community, and I was raised by Black Music, yet I tried so hard to escape from it. But I realized how inept I was when I attempted to do that. So I no longer runaway. I have returned to my roots.
I also took production inspiration from @ZipZipper's recent track 'Black Lives Matter' that they made in solidarity with BLM. Here's ZipZipper work:
I hope you would enjoy SOLARPUNK. I'd soon submit it to Creative Commons website and I do not plan to make money with this album, or any of my music. Please take care of each other and stay safe! ✊🏽 #BLM

In 2012 when I was still a baby anarchist, the two of the most awesome musicians on the internet collaborated on an anti-capitalist musical project... The OG meme God Chocolate Rain Tay Zonday + violinist Goddess Lindsey Sterling made a phoenix that echo across time. Yesterday it resurfaced on r/wallstreetbets...
Enjoy and be educated about the reality.
